With the Automatic BMW Teleservice Call your BMW knows when a service is due. Through the Condition Based Service (CBS) sensors, the car identifies service requirements and automatically transmits all service-related data to BMW. Your preferred BMW Service Partner retrieves the data, is informed about the service need and vehicle status, and calls you to arrange a workshop appointment, if necessary.

 

With the Manual BMW Teleservice Call, you can conveniently get your BMW Service Centre to contact you, get customised advice or spontaneously schedule a service appointment.   • PREREQUISITE FOR USE.

    The full range of BMW Teleservices is available for all BMW models manufactured as of September 2007. As of July 2013, BMW TeleServices are available as an integral part of the BMW ConnectedDrive range in your market, too.

     

    The option code - SA 6AE is necessary to use BMW Teleservices in your vehicle. This option SA 6AE cannot be ordered separately. SA 6AE is always added automatically when any BMW ConnectedDrive package is ordered. All BMW TeleServices related features are automatically activated at the end of the production line and are ready to use after the automobile is provisioned during PDI. SA 6AE is free for customers and is active in the automobile as long as the customer is interested in BMW ConnectedDrive connectivity (“Get Connected Agreement”). BMW TeleService Calls are free of charge.

  • How much do the services cost?

    The service is completely free for all customers with a valid BMW ConnectedDrive contract or for all automobiles that are equipped with the option code SA 6AC (Intelligent eCall) and/or SA 6AK (BMW ConnectedDrive service).

  • Which BMW models are equipped with BMW TeleServices?

    Every BMW with BMW ConnectedDrive also has BMW TeleServices.

  • Does the data transfer imply that BMW is omniscient about the customer (‘transparent customer’)?

    BMW TeleService data never contains any customer details. Only automobile details are transmitted. Customer contact details are only held at the BMW Service Partner.

     

    The location of the automobile is only transmitted by the BMW Teleservice Breakdown Call and in automobiles with a BMW navigation system. This is in order to dispatch a roadside assistance technician or recovery automobile as quickly and accurately as possible.

  • Which BMW Service Partner is my BMW sending the data to?

    Usually, it is the BMW Service Partner where the customer has purchased the automobile and where he has signed the ConnectedDrive contract. Change of BMW Service Partner is possible any time at the customer’s request.

     

    To change the assigned BMW Service Partner, please approach your preferred BMW Service Partner to complete the Service Partner Management (SPM) form.

  • How can I be sure of using BMW TeleServices if I am not the initial owner of the car?

    In standard case, the BMW TeleServices is already activated in the factory unless the previous owner has deactivated the BMW TeleServices. To check the availability, initiate a “Mobile Care” call through the vehicle to the BMW Roadside Assistance call centre. If no call is initiated, please approach your BMW Service Partner to check and if necessary reactivate the vehicle connectivity.

  • What should I consider when I sell my vehicle?

    As the seller, you might want to “remove” the vehicle from your ConnectedDrive portal before the handover of the vehicle. Above that, please inform the buyer about the functionality of BMW TeleServices and inform the new buyer to update the details in the ConnectedDrive portal.   • How can I activate BMW TeleServices in the vehicle?

    In standard case, the BMW TeleServices is already activated in the factory. If you are unsure, please contact your BMW Service Partner.

  • How do I disable BMW TeleServices in my vehicle?

    To deactivate the BMW TeleServices, please contact your BMW Service Partner. The deactivation of BMW TeleServices will also deactivate the SIM car in the vehicle and this will result in the malfunction of the Emergency Call function in the vehicle.
